2000 Journalists Join Online in 20th National Convention of NUJ (India)

More than two thousand journalists attended the 20th annual session of the National Union of Journalists (India). These journalists from more than 100 more places of the country connected to the annual conference through video conferencing and shared their views.

The National Union of Journalists (India) is a leading organization of journalists raising issues related to journalists nationally and internationally for decades. Journalist Protection Act, Media Council, and financial loss to journalists during the corona period were core areas of discussion.


Senior Journalist Mr. Rasbihari, National President of the National Union of Journalists, emphasized to work extensively for the benefit and welfare of journalists, as well as the demand for an economic package for the media world.


Mr. Anthony Bollinger, General Secretary, International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) in his video message said that there is a need to work extensively for the interest and welfare of journalists in India. IFJ supports all efforts of NUJ(I).
