As part of Shomrim Scotland’s Watch and Report scheme, this follow-up alert is issued to synagogues and Jewish communal organisations throughout the United Kingdom, and around the world, with particular emphasis on Scotland.
This notice relates to Tyron Nathan King, who has a documented history of threatening and abusive behaviour toward members of the Jewish community.
In November 2025, Shomrim issued an alert following a series of incidents involving Mr King during his time as a student at Lancaster University. During that period, Mr King directed threats toward members of the Jewish Society in Lancaster, resulting in police involvement and his subsequent expulsion by university authorities.
At the time, it was believed that Mr King had returned to Malaysia following his expulsion. However, he has since re-emerged and is again engaging in hostile and concerning conduct, this time directed at members of the Jewish community in Dundee, Scotland, including matters involving Hebrew Synagogue.
Of particular concern is a recent escalation in behaviour. Mr King is attempting to circumvent being blocked by individuals by contacting third parties via social media and asking them to pass messages on his behalf. This includes approaching Facebook contacts of a former Secretary of the Jewish Society in Lancaster in order to relay communications he is no longer permitted to send directly. This conduct is viewed as harassment and intimidation and should not be facilitated under any circumstances.
A serving police officer in Dundee, Mark Crawford, previously communicated directly with Mr King and with his father, urging that this behaviour cease. Despite that intervention, the conduct has continued.
Dundee Police have been notified of the current activity.
Community members are urged to exercise caution. Do not engage with Mr King, do not respond to messages, and do not relay communications on his behalf. Any contact, attempted contact, or indirect approach should be documented and reported immediately.
If you are contacted by Mr King, contact Dundee Police on 0141 308 1070, or call 101 in Scotland.
Shomrim Scotland is operated by Hebrew Synagogue. Its focus is the protection and safeguarding of the Jewish community throughout Scotland. The organisation works to strengthen communal security through education, the implementation of best-practice security procedures at synagogues and other Jewish communal properties, and through active community engagement.
Shomrim services are offered entirely free of charge. The organisation believes that the safety and wellbeing of the Jewish community is a shared responsibility and welcomes participation from community members across Scotland.
Shomrim Scotland seeks committed volunteers who can assist in three key areas:
Education – helping to raise awareness and understanding of security measures within the Community.
Watch and Report – providing a visible presence, identifying potential risks, and reporting suspicious activity.
Incident Response – being alert and prepared to act swiftly and appropriately in the event of any threat or, G-D forbid, acts of violence against Jewish individuals or institutions anywhere in Scotland.
Shomrim Scotland works in partnership with communal organisations and security professionals to ensure that synagogues, schools, and community centres remain safe and welcoming spaces for all. By volunteering time and skills, members of the community can make a meaningful contribution to the protection of the Jewish future in Scotland.
