The veteran leader of Bhartiya Janta Party and former Deputy Chief Minister Lal Krishna Advani ji will be conferred the highest national citizen award Bharat Ratan for his distinguished services in public life and commitment to transparency and integrity.
Advani ji is a founder member of the Bhartiya Janta Party and served as the President for the longest period since its inception.
He was the Home Minister in the Vajpayee Government and later Deputy Chief Minister (1999 to 2024).
