Hebrew Synagogue today unveiled its refreshed branding, presenting a bold and unified identity that reflects its mission of faith, learning, and service to the wider community.


Hebrew Synagogue operates Beth Israel Synagogue in Scotland and serves as an advisory body on Jewish religious practice, widely consulted by both public and private agencies. Fully funded by Mayside Partners Limited, Hebrew Synagogue carries no fundraising burden, allowing it to focus entirely on service, education, and community life.


The new branding highlights the broad scope of activities carried out under Hebrew Synagogue:


  • HS Kosher – A wholesale and retail kosher food operation supplying fresh and frozen products, with rabbinic certification available for both products and food-service establishments.

  • Levana Bakery – A kosher scratch bakery offering challah, breads, pastries, and custom cakes for all occasions.

  • Adult Education Learning Centre – Including the pioneering Master of Global Ethics and Leadership (MGEL), a fully online, secular, and inclusive programme designed to equip students with the tools to address contemporary challenges with ethical clarity and conviction.

  • Grant:One – A streamlined funding pathway supporting innovative, impact-driven initiatives that foster growth, creativity, and positive change in society.


Hebrew Synagogue functions as a beit midrash (house of study) for adults and families, offering classes in תורה (Torah), tradition, ethics, history, and practical skills, delivered both in person and online. Its work is guided by the conviction that all Jews share one Torah, with greater and lesser levels of observance, but always bound together as one people.


Speaking on the unveiling of the new branding, Ram ben Ze'ev, executive director of Hebrew Synagogue said:
