Hard landing after engine failure, Tatenhill Airfield, Staffordshire, 22 April 2025
After a normal take-off and initial climb, the aircraft’s engine began to run roughly. The pilot attempted to return to Tatenhill Airfield but the aircraft struggled to reach the runway threshold. The aircraft made a hard landing on the threshold of Runway 03. The aircraft was damaged beyond economic repair.
The investigation has focused on the aircraft’s fuel system and is close to completion. The final report into this accident will be published in due course.
