Hebrew Synagogue has announced the publication of Seder Tefillot Shabbat, the second volume in its growing series of carefully prepared Jewish prayer books. This new release follows the publication of Seder Tefillot: The Complete Order of Daily Jewish Prayers and continues the project’s commitment to clarity, textual fidelity, and faithfulness to established Jewish tradition.

Seder Tefillot Shabbat presents the complete and ordered structure of Shabbat prayer, including Arvit, Shacharit, the Torah Service, Musaf, and Minchah. As with the first volume, the prayers are arranged according to their traditional order, preserving minhag while ensuring continuity and ease of use for both communal and private devotion.

Hebrew text remains authoritative throughout the volume. Where English is provided, it serves strictly as a support for comprehension, without commentary, ideological framing, or modern interpolation. The layout and structure are designed to allow the prayers to flow as a unified avodah rather than as isolated recitations.

Rabbi Ram ben Ze’ev, who oversaw the preparation of the volume, said:

“This work continues a simple but demanding principle: prayer must be transmitted faithfully, without distortion and without embellishment. Seder Tefillot Shabbat stands alongside the daily Seder as part of a single, coherent body of prayer, prepared with responsibility to the text and reverence for its purpose.”

He added:

“Our aim is not novelty, but continuity — to provide a prayer book that respects the authority of Hebrew, honours established order, and serves those who seek precision, restraint, and seriousness in tefillah.”

The publication of Seder Tefillot Shabbat forms part of a wider programme of prayer and study texts currently in production. Future volumes in the collection will include Seder Tefillot Festivals, completing the liturgical cycle, as well as a multi-volume English edition of the Holy Zohar, prepared with the same emphasis on textual integrity and disciplined presentation.

Together, these works are intended to form a unified and enduring library of prayer and study, grounded in tradition and prepared with care for generations to come.
